Seaside Vacations

This company is a joke. We had issues from day one at Verandas. Took 45 mins to get stuff up elevator as only one worked and the other got stuck multiple times. The floors were slimy and dirty and while trying to get kids settled in one room, we noticed old food behind/under the bed. Day 2 we notice that 2 of the towel holders were broken and unable to be used. One of the showers literally leaks all day and has a piece that kept falling off.. oh and then I walked into my bedroom where I found a cockroach!!!!! After smushing him, we decided it was a fluke. Nope found another in the entertainment stand 15 mins later. We let Seaside know of the issues right away. They basically told us we were out of luck.. "those are palmetto beetles" was their response!!! This is fancy for freaking cockroach and "they could come in a spray while we are here." Like no sir we do not want strangers spraying chemicals where our children are sleeping and our belongings are.. There was no offer of a new property or even a care to give from these people. It was basically you can leave with no refund or stay and encounter bugs.. After losing a battle and having no where to go, we decided to stick it out in hopes it was really was a fluke. but nope our entire balcony is infested with them and you cannot go out on it after dusk or you will have them crawling all over you. We found them in our beach towels and swim shoes.. etc. I'm sure we are not the only ones to complain about this and I am sure we will not be the last but it was clear that the "cleaners" they use don't clean thoroughly, the owners of the condo clearly don't care how their place looks and Seaside just peddles their gross unkempt properties with a list of rules and things they are not responsible for in order to cover their basis from their wrong doings..All 8 of us are exhausted for not sleeping one good night as our four kids constantly thought the bugs were gone get in and get their stuff or them. I can deal with the outdated condo and the leaky faucet and broken holders but bugs are not okay and ruining my kids vacations is absolutely not okay!!! RENT FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE. These people do not care about you and will just take your money any way they can!

We stayed through them in 2019. We checked in and noticed our condo was not in the cleanest condition. When we went to bed that night, our third bedroom was discovered to have BED BUGS in it. We blocked the room off and disinfected everything that was placed in that room. While reviewing the rest of the condo to make sure no more bed bugs were in it, we discovered how Extremely dirty the unit was. Lots of dust on baseboards, food everywhere. If the cleaning staff had done any of their job, they would have discovered the bed begs when changing the sheets. Or they did and just ignored it. The company only offered us the options of staying in our rental or getting a refund and leaving, would not offer us a new condo to stay in. We had to reach out and book through another property manager for the condo place we stayed in. The staff was friendly at least.

Every issue we had Michelle addressed promptly.The issues we had were not the fault of seaside.The only reason 4 and not 5 stars is because when I first booked with seaside I was told I couldn't have my service dog with me. Upon arrival I was told I could. trip would've possibly been better if I had my service dog with me.

The worst check in process, really leaves you in the dark. Just going to say VRBO says 3 and that's it, your email went to my junk mail. Weather the fault is with you all or VRBO, it's terrible communication At least spell my name right it's literally in the post :( This was from the only correspondence I received from you all, unless you count the contract I signed over 6th months ago that I can't even find. Where does it say 3-6 for check-in? After 5 is considered a late check in? SAFE & EASY CHECK IN PROCESS: On your arrival day, you will receive a text alerting you when your vacation rental is ready for you to check in. The check-in process begins at 3 pm. Please do not contact our office regarding check-in prior to 3 pm. When your rental property is ready, you will be texted. Please wait for the text. All check-ins occur at the office of Seaside Vacations. No check-ins occur at the rental property itself. We will have a check in package ready for you which will include keys/entry instructions, amenity passes, Wi-Fi instructions, driving directions from our office to your rental location and any other important information required for your stay. We ask that just one person for each reservation come to our front door. Your driver's license or state ID must be presented at time of check-in. Upon arrival to your rental, you will have a Seaside Vacations Goody Bag as a starter for paper products that may be necessary after a long drive. You will need to supply your own paper products, etc. Other things you will need to bring include beach towels, food and condiments, personal toiletries (soap, shampoo, etc.), cleaning supplies (washing detergent, dishwashing liquid, etc.) paper products (toilet paper, paper towels, tissues), beach equipment, alarm clock (if you need one), baby equipment (unless rented), flashlights, radios, and batteries. LATE CHECK-INS: All late check-ins must make prior arrangements with our office in order to pick up keys after office hours. Late check-ins are considered those arriving after 5 pm. A copy of your drivers' license must be on file before lock box can be accessed. A Seaside Vacations representative may reach out to you the day after check-in to make sure you are settled in and everything is satisfactory. If you are arriving after office hours, please be sure to arrange for after-hours check-in procedure

For the Seaside Vacations Team - Your staff was very helpful in planning the trip. Easy check-in and check-out. The only issue we had was the starter pack of paper products was not in our unit and we had not unpacked or gone to the store yet, so minor inconvenience for the toilet tissue. Your maintenance man came by with the blue bag shortly after we called. TV instructions could be better, finally working with rebooting the entire system. Unit was very clean - so great job with housekeeping. For the unit itself - We rented Ocean Bay Club- 1104 - Great location, unit's decor was very attractive - my daughter's favorite colors. Having the parking garage close was convenient as well. A Few minor things to be fixed or replaced would be great - one kitchen cabinet door - hinge loose, we didn't use it as we didn't want it to break. Stove burners do not fit the stove - tried several times to get them in, but couldn't. Which meant the frying pans were crooked on the stove, not ideal for cooking breakfast.Two of the frying pans were about worn out - the non-stick surface needs replacing. Definitely frustrating that the stove would be left with the burners not inserted into the plugs or perhaps wrong burners for that stove. The master bedroom bed has an egg/foam on top of the mattress - very uncomfortable and it does not fit the bed. It ends where the pillows go, so it makes the pillows lower than the foam, not really great for sleeping comfort. If the owner needs to have that on the bed, perhaps the mattress needs replacing??? Disappointed for sure in the comfort level of the bed with the egg/foam topper for the price we paid. Given the few issues we had we still had a great vacation week with our adult kids. Would stay in the unit again if the above issues were fixed/replaced. When traveling to NMB we will check with Seaside Vacations first.

We stayed for spring break, I'm sure every unit wasn't like ours but the condo we stayed in the bed had no springs it was leaning on the floor on one side , the comforters were that old old thin scratchy feeling stuff. They needed updating something serious. There was a pool, hot tub, and lazy River inside for kids which was nice also an outside pool- just disappointed in the outdated room

We stayed at the Tidemaster 203 and it had everything you would need for a decent stay. The air conditioner never made it cold, but it was comfortable. It would've been nice to have laundry soap for one wash; if not two, a few trash bags ( that hold heavier trash ), and a few more bath hand towels would've been nice. The pool was clean and always had available chairs. It was nice having the walkway with water available; coming back from the beach. It was a short walk to the shops and entertainment and a short drive to major food places. All in all; the two of us don't require a lot, so it was a pleasant, last minute stay!
