The company opened for business in 1959 as a local real estate company, but quickly expanded to include property management services in January of 1963. Currently, under the ownership of Rick Elliott, the vacation rental company manages over 1,000 vacation homes in the Myrtle Beach, SC area. Although Elliott Beach Rentals allows guests to book condos within various beachfront resorts and beyond, they've earned their reputation in the North Myrtle Beach vacation rentals industry by offering an unmatched selection of beach houses for rent. Most of the beach homes are located within Cherry Grove Beach, the northernmost section of N. Myrtle Beach. Our family rented the property, A Bushel and A Peck. The owners have done a great job with the renovations of this home making it qualify for a Luxury rental. We did get to check in by 4pm however the house was not clean. The paper sanitary strips had been placed around the toilets but two of the toilets once seat was lifted still had splatter marks from previous use. The bathrooms rugs were filthy, so much so we put them out on the porch until we could wash them. The floors not only had sand, which is somewhat understandable, but crumbs, hair, dust balls. Literally dust pans full. One of the bedrooms had candy wrappers and empty water bottles under the beds. We had the linen package so the sheets and towels were clean. The mattress covers and pillows were stained and looked like they had not been washed or changed in quite awhile. We washed those before making the beds. One of the beds had a huge brown stain on the bed which had to be seen by the cleaners. The dishwasher had been unloaded without paying attention that the dishes had not been cleaned. Coffee mugs had coffee in them, plates and silverware had dried grits and eggs on them. The pans & bowls had also been put away with dried food. This was all in the cabinet. Needless to say, we took the time to wash all the dishes. The sofas had crumbs on them not just under the cushions but visibly on the furniture. The overall organization of the house, such as, closets, linens, cleaning supplies etc were in disarray which we were told the rental company doesn't take care of. The swimming pool was clean but under the carports, walkways, steps, were covered in sand, pine needles, sticks. It looked like they had not been blown or swept in awhile. Not what we expected with a Luxury rental. We had to clean these areas because we had small children. Again, Elliott said they are not responsible for the outside. We did call the office as soon as we got in and discovered that things were not clean. My sister and I cleaned everything which took 6 hours & our first day of vacation. The cleaning crew arrived at 10pm, she was very nice and said she had been working all day and stayed over until 10pm for the re-cleans. We were able to tell her that we had already completed every thing. Elliott did refund us the $275 fee which we appreciated but that still doesn't make up for sending customers to unclean houses. Next time we'll rent from a smaller company or an individual. Elliott won't get our business or recommendations from us.

My husband and I came to Myrtle Beach during the July 4th holiday to celebrate his birthday and also bring our children for a family vacation. We only use Elliott Reality when we visit Myrtle Beach because they never disappoint. We stayed at Maureen and Marilyn's Beach Cottage and the amenities were elite. We housed 2 adults, 3 sixteen year olds, and 2 seven year olds for an entire week. There was plenty of room and bedding for everyone to be comfortable. Walmart was 2 minutes away and the beach was within walking distance. I have not one complaint. And as always, when my husband and I return to Myrtle Beach, we will use Elliott Reality for our accommodations! Keep up the good work

What a wonderful and beautiful place to stay! The owners and Elliott Reality were so generous and kind. The owners even presented a baked dish and a thank you card for our rental. That's something you don't experience everyday. The view of the beach from the upper deck was breath taking. A must rent and stay! This will be our annual accommodation.

We stayed at Horizon this past weekend and we're completely disgusted with not only our stay, but the lack of consideration from the management team. We arrived after hours (around midnight to the property) and were honestly in complete shock. It was disgusting. The sheets were not clean, the comforter/quilts had stains, the floor was not clean, there was crumbs all over the couch, there was a dirty spoon left in the sink and sticky stains on the kitchen floor. The doorknob to the second bedroom fell off and all the closet doors were off track. We called the rental team the next morning and voiced our concerns and Pam stated that she would put in work orders and have the cleaning team come back to clean the unit. At 4pm, no one had come, so we called again and I spoke with Weston who told me he would move me but didn't have any units that would meet my standards. I didn't realize a clean unit upon check in was such a high ask. He also commented that he was looking at several photos left by the cleaning team and the unit was clean. He said he would send me an email so I could forward all the pictures showing that it was not, but he never did. I went ahead and posted pictures here for his easy reference. I also took it upon myself after waiting around all day to at least clean the living room floor and couch with the vacuum (which was broken) that was left in the unit, so that my family could at least be in the living room. The cleaning team and maintenance finally came around 7. They told my husband that this was their 3rd re-clean of the day due to someone new who had cleaned the unit the day before. They also fixed the doorknob. They replaced the comforters and sheets at our ask and professionally cleaned the unit. Per Weston, after our departure, we would be compensated for the inconvenience during our stay. I am still waiting on someone to return my call from the management team in order to discuss and retrieve compensation. I left a message for Ryan today. I would also like to mention that the King bed is on the floor, no box spring, just the mattress with a frame around it. It looks like others have made this comment prior. We ended up putting our kids in the king bed and we took the smaller bed just because it was so hard to get in and out of. They also do not have curtains in the king room and chose to put a picture over the window leading to the hallway. It stays bright the entire night. The fridge has a huge dent, but works fine. The living room was nice, but I would not recommend this property.

We had a good time at the Landmark Resort the view was beautiful. The rooms was clean and neat. I like how the bathrooms was connected to the shower. The kitchen area was beautiful. I will recommend Elliott to my friends and family. We had a beautiful 4th of July week at the beach. Thanks Elliott
