SCAM SCAM SCAM!!! Do not trust going through this company. We paid over $1550 for our stay, we had children with us, 4 & 5.. it advertises pools, there is absolutely NO access to any pools. They leave you a pool card but it does not worked. I reported the issue multiple times we were there & was never resolved. Upon arrival, the house was not ready. Check in time was 4 o’clock, we arrived & had to park on street & wait 30 minutes. First 3 days we had no power in the kids bedroom. No power in the shared bathroom. The tv didn’t work in the master bedroom. We completed our stay & all 7 days with no pool access. They never fixed it. I am still trying to get in contact with somebody who is going to make it right. It was a $1560 stay worth about $700 stay. Any time I try to contact someone about the matter, they just say it’s been resolved & there is nobody in the higher chain of command that I can speak with. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!!! Those are the main big things. There were many little things that you have to pay out for when you are there. They mention having a grill at your place, but do not mention that you have to proceed the propane. So you have to drive somewhere to fill a tank up. They mention coffee maker, but no coffee filters. The bathrooms do come with toilet paper, but only one roll for the whole week, so you do have to get toilet paper or wipes most likely, we had 5 people in our stay, 2 kids, so it definitely wasn’t enough. Mentions fully stocked kitchen but lacks the basic necessity of having scissors or a knife & surprisingly we found our selves needing them more than once to try to open something up or cut something. The house itself is beautiful but it is VERY poorly managed & you do NOT get all that is promised what so ever. If you have any issues at all once you arrive, you are screwed pretty much. The local teams couldn’t get in contact with property managers the whole stay either. I would not recommend at all. Scam. Very unhappy.

We stayed at Sandtrap 1. We had an overall amazing experience. Kids enjoyed the pool, volleyball court and basketball court. It was a short walk to the beach. We had one internet issue and they came and fixed it within 15 minutes. The only other issue was hair on the mattress protector when we first arrived but that was an esay fix there were no bugs and beds were otherwise super clean. Kids, dogs, and adults we all enjoy the stay. We will be back. 😊

Highly disappointed with their pet security policy. I disclosed I was bringing two small dogs. The property manager said I did not disclose that information. Still waiting to see what paperwork she's referring to. I swept and scrubbed the entire unit upon arrival, multiple times during the stayl and upon leaving the unit. One month later' I was notified there was pey urine in the unit...A MONTH! I was told they are keeping my $50 deposit. Maybe the management should be more concerned about the urine that laid in the elevator entrance area for 3 days?? I won't be back.

Our family had a great stay at Crescent Dunes, a beautiful, spacious property. It's a clean, modern condo with three bedrooms and two full baths. We had a toddler with us and she stayed in one of the rooms with a pack and play. All the other tenants were friendly and there was no noticeable noise from other rooms, so great sound dampening. There's a deck on the front side and the back deck overlooks the ocean. We spent a lot of time in the pool, which is conveniently located out back. It was also very convenient to have the washer and dryer. For the most part, it was fairly toddler proof minus the ground level kitchen cabinets/drawers and trash can. The beach is right out past the sand dunes and wasn't ever too busy throughout our stay (early May). Two tips: If you bring a toddler that needs total darkness, you'll want to bring along something to drape over the curtain rods to block the light. The floors are tile and I'd highly recommend bringing along a Swiffer mop or equivalent to keep the floors tidy as you slowly and inevitably track in dirt or sand from your beach adventures. A big thank you to Chris who runs Retreat Myrtle Beach for making everything happen and running a great company!

We booked this place originally for my bachelorette party in early September. We had to sign a contract stating the reason for our stay, and who would be joining us. Unfortunately, I and A couple other women got diagnosed with Covid 19 the week of our trip. After calling the office, I was told I would not be refunded & had to stay sometime within in 2020. We did not want to stay there after being told we could not get a refund even though we had a sickness that was causing a national pandemic. But we were forced to so we would not lose our money. We decided to go for a weekend in October & I told them since I would be married by then we will be taking a couples trip at that point. The day after our arrival, a couple of girls and I were trying to get into the duplex and we were having trouble with the keys. After about 10 minutes of trying to get in, Someone who claimed he was the owner, walked up and automatically said ?If we knew you were so young we would not have allowed you to stay here, we don?t rent to college students, only familes? assuming we were too young (we are are all graduated & have families of our own)... after knowing and signing a contract stating why we would be there and the ages of everyone going to begin with. It was very rude and very disrespectful. The quality was also not that great. We paid $800 for a weekend in October. No linens, toilet paper, trash bags, hand soap, etc. was provided unless we paid an extra $200 fee. We also paid $110 cleaning fee and it was stated upon arrival that if any sand on floor or bathtub we would be charged. I have personally never have had an experience like this out of all of the Air bnbs, resorts & condos I have stayed in. I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND & needless to stay, we will never stay here again.

We've rented from Retreat Myrtle Beach for a long, long time. We have never known the staff to be anything but friendly and helpful. It could use some updating but, if you have a pet, we highly recommend them.

We've been staying at retreat properties for many years. The owner has always been great at accommodating any requests we've had. This year had a fantastic experience at Surfsong. The private pool and hot tub were the highlight. It was very clean and there was shade in the morning and afternoon, which was perfect for the kids! Thanks for another fantastic stay!

Within 10 minutes of checking into our rental, our beloved dog was killed. This dangerous property had a very steep drop off to a sidewalk and 4 lane road. Our sweet dog did not realize and tumbled off and was struck and killed by a passing car. I contacted Retreat Myrtle Beach requesting they put up a barrier there because I would not want this to happen to anyone else's dog or child. They said that it would NOT be done. I also asked for a full refund since we could not stay there after this tragedy. I was refunded $300, a random amount they chose because they said they were running a business. The office manager Jeanne Pullum said that the owners would contact us but we never heard anything from them. Do not bring children or pets to this property. It is very dangerous and the owners have no intention of correcting the issue with a simple fence or railing. They kept the majority my money despite our horrible experience. I wouldn?t rent from them ever again. They also tout themselves as the most pet friendly agency.

We rented Seaside Cottage 2 (the upper unit of a duplex) and it was infested with cockroaches ? we found dozens of live roaches, most of which were juveniles and several nymphs; the roaches were also being active during the daytime and when people were around. Roaches were crawling in and out of the cracks in the kitchen table while we were eating at it. The rental company, Retreat Myrtle Beach, did not make much of an attempt to remedy the situation. Their representative only offered us to switch to the lower unit of the same duplex. That unit had been vacated two days prior, and upon inspecting it for about three minutes, we found ten dead roaches. Their representative appeared to believe that the proximity to the unit with an active infestation and the signs of infestation downstairs somehow did not indicate that there was an active infestation downstairs. She expected us to move all of our belongings to the unit downstairs, and then wait for any live bugs to appear before she would offer us a different habitable dwelling. We also were required to show the property manager around our infested unit and point out all the signs of the infestation in the lower unit. Both the property manager and their representative tried to minimize the situation. This trip was intended to be a vacation, but instead we spent hours on the phone and no suitable relocation was ever offered. I would stay away from both Seaside Cottage and Retreat Myrtle Beach.

Owner Chris Kaiser and customer service rep Jean Pullum were great. The unit we stayed in was clean and spacious enough for us and our pets. They bent over backward to ensure our comfort and worked with us when we stayed for an additional week. during their high season. The unit was close to shopping. Food markets, a park, and most of all the beach. Highly recommend staying at the Retreat Myrtle Beach.

Rented from this company for the first time last year for a two week stay. They were very helpful, whole online process was a breeze, and the check-in/check-out process was easy. My father even left his rechargeable Razor plugged in, they called and asked if we wanted to have them ship it back. Great customer service. The cleaning crew did an excellent job as well. Only complaint would be that I wish towels/washcloths were included. They take up a LOT of space, especially when having to bring sheets/blankets too. I know you can purchase this as an extra, but it really should be included. Regardless, this has become one of our favorite places to come back to. Already here for another two weeks and ready to book again for next year. Love that our fur babies can come with. Great location, not to busy and love that there are only 24 units in this building.
