Our stay at 2016 Portofino was one for the books. The home was beautifully appointed and CLEAN. Usually we have to still clean upon arrival to feel comfortable, and for the first time it was not necessary to do so. We had an issue with our air conditioning and it was addressed immediately. Our stay was seamless and our family had a wonderful experience.

We just returned home from the worst experience I have ever had in 53 years. We rented from sea star reality for the first and last time. We rented unit 3f in dolphin cove. We were able to check in about 5:00 to discover the condo wasn’t clean. We found sand everywhere, wrappers under beds and sofa, half eaten sandwiches behind the master bed, two faucets broken, used tissue found, several roach motels around condo and no parking passes. Called to report the uncleanliness and ask about parking passes and we were told the things that we found would fall under “deep cleaning” and that we didn’t need parking passes twice in the conversation. Woke up the next morning to two of our vehicles being toed. 😡 we called sea star realty very upset about our vehicles and after about 3 hours of dealing with this they did agree to pay to get our vehicles out of impound however, we had to get our own Uber to get our cars. We spent the first two days dealing with all these issues to receive NO compensation for our time lost on our family vacation. Very unhappy with this realty office! They told me they would get back with me after speaking to manager and home owner and we are now home and haven’t heard a word! Do not use sea star realty.

We had a great time at this condo. It had everything we needed for our vacation and was perfect for just walking right onto the beach. The pool was lovely and so nice that we only had to share with a few other families.

The stay at Surf Master was superb. Our place was immaculate and comfortable. We enjoyed the view and all the fun things to do near by. The beach was super busy and rental chairs were put out at 6 am and the crowds came by 8 am.

Lovely location! Second row. 3rd floor. Able to overlook the large parking lot(Holiday Inn) and have a great view of the beach and ocean. You can hear the ocean at night. I wish the glass doors had screens. Plenty of safe parking.

First and foremost, I cannot explain the heart-wrenching feeling when we first walked into Beach Haven and saw southern roaches alive and dead in multiple locations, multiple floors. We were then greeted with multiple snake-skins and overall mess in the garage area; With our family coming in from multiple locations across the east coast, the only thing we could do was clean. The Sea Star offices were closed, we left a message, and followed up Monday. There was an emergency number that was available on the weekends that we used due to the garage door not closing. We were offered to have cleaning services, but no way I wanted to have strangers now going through 10 of my family's belongings; and we already spent hours cleaning ourselves at that point.
We cleaned each room the best we could before family began to arrive. Luckily, we found a vacuum cleaner under a mess of cushions jammed in a closet. The vacuum canister was full of repulsive crap that had not been emptied in what looked like months. Behind/under much of the furniture was an assortment of southern roaches, other dead bugs, and filth. Both inside stairways had dead roaches and dirt. In the bedroom, there were (2) prescription type pills on the floor. Many of the blinds were broken and could not be closed/opened. Bed comforters were thrown into closets on the dirty floor with no concern for cleanliness. In the kitchen plates were full of mold and when we loaded them into the dishwasher, we found it was broken and could not be repaired. The water filter in the refrigerator was expired.
We literally vacuumed each room pulling furniture out from the wall and cleaning what was absolutely disgusting behind and under. We opened the porch doors and the furniture was not covered and nasty dirty. One of the love-seats has a broken leg and not useable. It was something that no one took any time to prepare for guest/renters.
The next day we took over an hour to clean/sweep the garage, hide the snake-skins from all, and pickup pool/beech toys. Again, no one had any thought of making this presentable to families coming in as a perceived high-end vacation destination.
On Monday during standard business hours, we received a call from Sea Star. We spoke to a woman who was like a recording: we can send someone out for the cleaning and broken equipment; we asked to speak with the manager and finally after many interactions spoke with Taylor, the Office Manager.
We attempted to explain to Taylor how many things were broken, the mess/disgust, and were talking to deaf ears. She was like a recording of, we will send someone out to clean, and we will send someone out to fix, and we will really do nothing for you. We were literally on the phone for 20 minutes with Taylor talking to a wall. I think there is a book they just refer to for customers that are calling in for a hint of empathy.
With all of that stated:
In the end, Taylor offered $200 for cleaning fees and their team offered a small container of dish washing soap to wash all dishes by hand.
Never, never again will we use this service. The customer facing team has no compassion for what this does to a family coming in for a vacation at Pawley's Island. I said to Taylor I hoped this was an exception and not the norm, then read other reviews with very similar results.
This management team should be ashamed for allowing this to happen. Hold your inspection team, and cleaning team accountable for not doing their job. Fix the problem, do not just offer an insult to resolve.

Everyone had their own space, including a bathroom. The house was beautiful; the view was outstanding; and we all enjoyed the pool and bay access. The house was clean and comfortable. We were even pleasantly surprised with an email that said we could check in early (this was not a request). We would definitely recommend visiting here if possible.

Recover Zone was AMAZING!! Our whole family enjoyed the week immensely. The pool was a big hit and the ocean view is unbeatable. Proximity to dining, golf, shopping and everything else you may need is extremely convenient. We will definitely be back to this lovely property.

This was our first time renting from Sea Star Realty. They were great. Quick to respond to our requests and very friendly staff. Really liked having the linen package included in our rental. We will definitely rent from them again.

Stayed in the 1412. For the price it was definitely not up to standards. The place was not cleaned before we got there. Dirt in the floor, earring backs that was not ours.. so I know they couldn't have cleaned the floors. Look in the shower, and there is mold all over the shower curtain. Crumbs in the couch and stains on the couch. Put our bed down. My husband felt sand in the sheets. Bugs and dirt in all the window seals. Everything was sticky.. still food in the dishwasher, dirty towels in washer and dryer, silver wear was all nasty in the drawer, we called and complained, a house keeper came with her two kids wanting to argue with me when I told her what I saw was dirty. We left the first night and are seeing them. They said they have the best linens in the Carolinas but I'm upset that we spent that much money to stay in a place that was dirty and nasty. Ruined part of our vacation having to load everything back out, and move to a whole new place. We literally left as soon as we got there and took a look around. I wouldn't bathe my dog in that bathtub. My kids are not going to take a bath in a bathtub full of mold.

I just arrived and I am not happy at all. This is the dirtiest place I have ever seen. There is food stuck to the cabinets . Food on the coach they didn?t clean off. Still food stuck on the tables , the housekeeper didn?t clean up. Filthy, filthy. Do not come here, it is horribly dirty. Asking for money back, or to be moved.

We had a wonderful vacation at Atlantic Gateway! The house was laid out very well plenty of room, fully stocked kitchen it had everything thing we need. I do think housekeeping needs to do a better job. When we first walked in there was an overwhelming musty smell throughout the house, the 2nd floor master bath was dirty apiece of soap on the shower floor along with hair in the drain. The bedspread needs to be replaced it was very dirty and had holes. Also one of the beds had blood stains on the sheet and pillow case. Also it was the end of July and the water in the pool was too cold to get in that was very disappointing. With all that being said we did have a good time.

Just spent a week in a Sea Star rental home and the house was in overall great shape. The home itself had been painted which made it difficult to know we was at the correct rental when arriving. The house was ocean front with an amazing view and loved that Sea Star offered beach chairs and umbrellas during our stay. The house had pretty much everything we would need for the week. The one thing i wish the house had, A broom so we could have at least swept up some of the sand. The location of the home was great for our family vacation, it was right on the beach no loud noises and every night we could sit out on the second floor balcony and watch fire works. The second floor offered a pool but since it was completely covered from the sun except for the morning sun the pool was freezing the entire week. We loved the lay out of the house how it had three bedrooms on the first floor and two bedrooms on the third floor that way we wasn't all right on top of each other. Also like in our case our family of three and the inlaws stayed together for the week but we had our own part of the home. Which in our case with a 6 year old and a puppy was wonderful. So over all our stay was wonderfully amazing and id stay again with Sea Star Realty!

House was wonderful! We had a small issue with the towels having a smoky odor when we first arrived, but they were quick to respond (within 10 minutes of me sending an email) and towels were replaced the next day with no issues! The free beach gear was fantastic! It was there when we arrived and was wonderful to have for the week! Overall, another great week!

The worst employees and management I've ever had to deal with will never stay here again and never would recommend.

By far the WORST rental company I've ever rented from. House was nice and clean, but not as described. The description states full beds in one of the rooms. It was 2 twins. Twin beds would have prevented me from renting this house. When I spoke with Sea Star Realty, the girl was very dismissive and rude. I have been renting houses through Dunes and Surfside Realty for 15 years and have never had this type of experience. Also, the pool had not been cleaned, as promised, for our arrival. I would NEVER recommend Sea Star Realty to anybody!!

Hella roaches, tv's are trash, BBQ doesnt work. Water dispenser doesnt work. Literally the last place i would have picked for a vacation in Garden City beach. Bugs everywhere, rusted bikes, everything in bad condition.

I had a horrible experience. They wouldn't answer our phone calls, refused to fix the broken appliances that were in the house when we arrived, and were extremely rude to me and my group. They also did not return our security deposit even though we left the house in better condition than we found it.

The interns or whoever they had on staff the week we stayed at one of their house were very disrespectful. They kept us on hold for over a half an hour when our family called about the pool (It was under construction, and wasn't stated in the houses description or even mentioned prior to us arriving). The pool wasn't as much of a big deal, but my family and I are just disappointed that we were not respected when we had a simple complaint that could have been talked about in a polite manner.

Do not use this realty service. This realty company deserves zero stars. The dishwasher was broken when we arrived. The advertised pool was closed. The house claimed it sleeps 20, when it did not. Management was absolutely and completely terrible, slow, and disrespectful. After multiple house renters called management, they neglected to return any of our calls. Sea Star Realty told me to take my review down, which is unethical in itself. Overall, the stay was disappointing and a waste of time and money. Stay somewhere else. You will have a much better stay with another realty company.

Great service! Very respectful staff. If there's anything you need, they're going to do whatever it is they can to make your stay with them as best as possible. I would recommend using them if you need to rent your house, find a house to rent, sell your house, or even buy a house!

Found house by the beach on-line late in the season and was pleasantly surprised to be given a 20% discount on what turned out to be a very nice home. Opted for linen package and glad we did. Plenty of towels, clean bed sheets. On occasions we contacted Seastar, either by phone or e-mail, response was quick and always accommodating. Keyless entry to home was great. Note that nothing required attention during our stay except wi-fi which we fixed ourselves. I would also ask if the home you're renting is for sale, because they have the right to show homes to prospective buyers during your stay (this is true of all realtors).

We had a few small issues, (ice maker not working properly, and one burner on stove not working), when we contacted the manager, she had a repairman out the next day and he replaced both the ice maker and the stovetop, brand new. I would certainly come back again.
