On July 23rd, the GM, Mr. Swain at Dunes Realty contacted me about disputing a charge on my Visa CC for the rental at Surfmaster, I-706 at Murrells Inlet SC, from 22nd - 29th, for $1,540.35. I told him that I purchased a insurance policy from Generali Global Assistance & Insurance that was listed on their website. He denied ever seeing rental insurance through them that I purchased. I explained to him, on May 29th, when I paid the balance due, I spoke with a salesperson at Dunes Realty. She suggested that I should purchase the travel insurance policy from Generali that is listed on their website, that provided a code. I purchase the policy through June 15th-28th from Generali. Up on arrival on 22nd a day late we checked into Dune's Realty for unit I-706 at Surfmaster. At this point it went all downhill. 1) We were exposed to covid somewhere between the 21st - 23rd of June when we checked in. On June 24th, I had my first and only visit to the beach that day. On June 25th, I had a scratchy throat and coughing with sinus issues & fatigue. I went to Urgent Care in Murrells Inlet, SC. I was diagnosed with covid-19. They prescribed Paxlovid and Hydrocodone cough syrup. The doctor requested that I should quarantine at the unit because I was too sick to make a 7-hour drive back home. On the 26th I called 911, the rescue squad transported me to Tidelands Medical Center ER, in Murrells Inlet, SC, due to complications from Paxlovid. On the 28th I returned to the Tidelands ER for additional complications in breathing and coughing. They x-rayed me again and prescribed an antibiotic and steroids. My friend Mary came with me who was also diagnosed with covid as well. As I said before, we had to quarantine in our unit for the rest of the stay that we rented through Dune's Realty. We had to check out of the unit on the 29th of June, after being turned down to stay longer because of our covid condition. 2) Unit I-706 at Surfmaster North Tower that had issues. The garbage disposal was broken and there was a water leak underneath the kitchen sink, that wasn’t discovered until water started coming onto the kitchen floor on the 27th. It was hard for me to find the switch to the garbage disposal because it was hidden with-in the frame of the mirror on the wall behind the sink. I learned from my friend Mary, that she found the switch earlier that week. She turned it on, nothing happened, so she figured whatever it went to was broke, thinking it went to a light. It really didn't concern me until the sink stopped up later in the week. You can tell from the pics the underneath the kitchen sink has been stained with water, which tells me they should have never rented us a unit with a broken garbage disposal. They finally came around on the 28th the day before we checked out to fix the garbage disposal. We had to leave because we were still under quarantine. There were several other things going on with the unit. The air conditioner was not working properly, it made a pinging sound. We had to shut the bedroom door to go to sleep. I had to fix the top rack of the dishwasher to get it to work properly. Again, we were under quarantine and I didn't want anybody coming here to work on these issues. 3) In their parking garage, my truck was damaged on the right rear panel by another vehicle that was trying to park next to me, it left the scene. I had to call the police, for a report to be filed with my insurance company at State Farm. We cannot locate who did this damage. Pinnacle Realty who manages the property have cameras placed around the garage, but they have not responded back to me about any issues in the garage near my car. At the end of the day, the GM Mr. Swain only offered me $150 for the garbage disposal. I filed a claim with Generali, but somehow it got canceled by who? It's strange the GM mention they would not pay because it's a trip insurance. We never knew that we were expose to covid when we were coming down there. To top it off, the CC denied my request. They tried to spin the NARRATIVE & they succeeded.

We booked a family vacation home with Dunes Realty. We were very pleased with the house, and the location being so close to the beach!!! We were able to get in the house a little early…finding the house clean. We left to come home at 5:50 AM….and didn’t need to drop keys off. We just put in the door code to lock it and was able to leave! Dunes Realty was great to work with!!!!

We rented a condo at Waters edge resort. It wasn't Dunes fault, but somebody threw glass in the pool. The pool had to be drained, cleaned and refilled. So we were not able to swim in the pool at all. The pool is inside/outside, so both pools were affected. I called to ask if they had an alternative pool available. They did not. Our condo was very nice and relaxing, but the walls were lime green. The furniture was all mismatched. It was functional and comfortable, but it was hard on the eyes. When I got home, I filled out a survey that they gave us when we checked in. There is no address to mail it to. Overall, our stay was nice. The staff was nice and apologetic about the pool. We enjoyed the balcony. We had a very nice time.

Stayed at Atalaya Towers #904, the condo was very outdated, cabinets broke the rug was dirty. the owners should be ashamed of themselves. AC wasn't working upon arrival. Sliding door wouldn't open. DUNES was very attentive to all of our needs, fixed the AC, sliding door and kitchen cabinet. They even replaced the carpet. The maintenance staff at DUNES especially (Keith) were great. I've have booked through DUNES for three years now in other units and very satisfied. I will definitely book again thru them BUT never #904

Every vacation deserves relaxation and we got just that and more! We recently took our October family vacation. My husband and I have 8 children ranging from 25 down to 7 and my husband’s parents were also staying in the home. Upon arrival, we immediately noticed the view of the beach. Absolutely beautiful! We walked up the stairs to the first floor where we found a lovely living room, dining area, kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 2 baths (1 connected to both the the hall and a bedroom and 1 in a the other bedroom). Beds were made up and were very welcoming. Fresh towels and washcloths had arrived in bins for us to unwrap and distribute around the house. Plenty of seating in the living room and a large dining room table for meals. Barstools were also available along the counter and there was a nice variety of kitchenware, dishes, etc. for use. The first floor balcony with ocean view stretched the width of the living room. Chairs and tables on the balcony for relaxing. Tastefully decorated in a nautical design. Walking up the staircase to the 2nd floor, there are 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms (2 of which are in bedrooms, 1 connected to a bedroom and has hall access) a nice little common’s area and a laundry closet. The master bath had an amazing walk in shower and the view from the 2nd floor balcony was beautiful! The pool was a nice incentive located on the beach side of the house and fully fenced in. At night, the light changes color. Lots of Adirondack’s, lounge chairs and a picnic table. Outdoor shower included and located near pool. Back patio has a picnic table and grill ready for steaks and seafood. TV’s in all rooms, extra comforters and blankets, mini bar soaps in the bathrooms, lots of closet and drawer space, Extra fridge for drinks or food, comfy beds, only a few steps to the beach. Located just a block or so down from the pier, the Pavilion Arcade and ice cream shops makes this home an excellent choice for a stay! We will be back!

Rented a beach house for a week and just got home. Great people. The process was easy. Prices weren’t crazy. I’ll definitely use them again. I’d never been to Garden City before and I’m glad that Dunes Realty, their listings/houses and prices got me there. Dunes is No fuss, no hassle and no complicated procedures which really helped make it such a wonderful vacation.

I had the best vacation thanks to Dunes Realty! The booking and payment process was as simple as as it gets. Our condo key was ready for pickup when we arrived and the condo was excellent and what we need for a relaxing week at the beach. The staff is great and helpful. I'm definitely going to use Dunes Realty next and try to get the same condo. The view from the balcony was wonderful and I sat therefor hours on end at night taking in the sound of the ocean and the salty air. By far the best beach vacation with my children ever!

My family has traveled to Surfside Beach and Garden City Beach annually for over thirty years, but this is the first year we've rented a unit from Dunes Realty. When we arrived at our rental, we were heartbroken to find that there were huge pipes along the beach with construction crews working 24-7 on a beach re-nourishment project. My father has health issues, trouble sleeping, and difficulty walking. Navigating the pipes and trying to rest during construction would have been extremely challenging for him. I went to the Dunes Realty Office and met with the General Manager, Ryan, who was very helpful and accommodating. He offered to move us to another location and allowed us to go take a look at it before making a decision. My parents loved the new location. Ryan allowed us to switch to the new location and even added linens at no extra cost because we didn't have the right size linens with us (our previous rental had beds of different sizes). My entire family is extremely grateful to Ryan and the entire team at Dunes Realty. Everyone was extremely polite and responsive to our needs, and we couldn't be happier with our experience with this company.

Let me start by saying this- the condition of our property was not up to par with what is being paid for a weeks length. The condition was less than what you could envision a Motel to be like. I will add, the condition of the home MAY NOT be the fault of the management company. It could very well be the fault of homeowners who do it want to really pay to have the upkeep necessary. Upon arrival at our rental for the week we noticed there was a big pipe on the beach for restoration. (Look like oil drudges in the ocean and a big pipe). The rental company did not disclose this to us prior to arrival and upon a call to the management company they were quick to rectify it and move us to another location. The first location was filthy dirty and looked nothing as depicted in photos or description. There were grease stains on the wall, broken railings, food stains at the baseboards- I don't want to be in someone else's ick when I'm on vacation. The second place we went to was an upgrade by beach standards (no pipe) but the home we were in was just as dirty if not worse. Mold on the walls, thick dust (inches high) on stairwell, wallpaper coming off walls, broken backsplash, outdated (an understatement) throughout, horribly dirty walls (needs to be painted big time), warped floors, disgustingly dirty carpet (stains everywhere), etc. as far as the management company goes I will say this- they are timely in their response. They did send someone out who changed the air filters.

Every summer we come to South Carolina for a week with a large group of friends. The past 2 years we rented a house through Dunes Realty and have had great experiences. The house is always ready on time or early, it's very clean, reasonably priced, and they have convenient linen and towel packages. Great locations right on the ocean, close to the Surfside Pier and a quick drive to Murrell's Inlet. We will definitely be staying with Dunes again.

This was the worst vacation house I have ever stayed in. The pictures are completely inaccurate of what the house actually looks like; false advertising to the max. Chairs are falling apart, there is dirt built up on tables, chairs and counters, the ceilings are drooping and we found a cockroach right when we walked in the door. We called the main office and even the general manager and received no help and NO REFUND!! Ryan, the general manager of the properties, came out to look at the house and had an excuse for everything. He was completely unapologetic and said he didn't want to fix any of the issues because "no one else had ever complained about them before". Customer service is extremely lacking. We only received assistance when we called house keeping and they came out right away to handle the situation, doing everything they could on their end to make things right. These properties are not taken care of; they are neglected. I would rate with zero stars if I could. Absolutely disgusting and terrible experience. Please be aware, never stay here or with this rental company.

Absolutely perfect way to have a great holiday! Close to everything. Well maintained. Very short walk to beach. Such a friendly neighborhood. House was everything and more than what we expected.
