My family and I stayed at Jewell of the Isle. My mother in law rented the house for all of us for a week. While it was a great place to stay because of the view, I was entirely disappointed with the cleanliness of the house. My 9 month old baby was with us and so I’m very conscious of the cleanliness of everything. We could not check in until 4/5 in the afternoon because we had to wait for the cleaning company to get done… which from what I’ve seen, they need to hire a new cleaning company. Tons of dust on the ceiling fans in every room. Mold / mildew on the ceiling in the bathroom on the second floor.. which was upsetting since my baby was staying with us on the second floor. Salt stains on the faucet in the bathtub which can easily be removed with a lemon, baking soda or white vinegar. The one that really got me was the mildew collected where the water and ice comes out in the fridge. Talk about disgusting. When was the last time that was cleaned or the water filter replaced? Can’t imagine the last time the dishwasher was deep cleaned so I preferred to hand wash my dishes. No mop to be seen so I couldn’t mop.. maybe it was a good thing because who knows if the floors were mopped. When we checked in, a lady was there to double check the cleanliness of the house not even giving us time to look over the house when we got in. All she did was check the drawers and make sure the lights worked. Again, I didn’t rent the house, my mother in law did and expressed my concerns to her however she wouldn’t say anything to the realtor because that’s how she is. Overall extremely disappointed with the cleanliness of the house and I would not stay in that house again.

Always so helpful and great at communicating! We've been using them for our Topsail vacations since 2020, and just rebooked for next year!

Great rental company; fair rates and friendly people. Very helpful throughout the entire process, from looking, booking, modifying, staying, leaving, and leaving something behind. Will definitely use Ward for future rentals on TI.

I'm completely disappointed with Ward Realty. We stayed at 131 Crosswinds Drive from 6/24/23-7/1/23. On the day we were due to arrive, I called Ward to verify when we could pick up the key fob for the pool/beach access. Shirley responded "the pool is closed just so you know". I was immediately upset that NO ONE from Ward felt it was a priority to let us know this before we arrived! We should have been give the option to cancel our stay. We have stayed in the Turtle Cove community several times and my family and I like to break up the day between the pool and the beach. It was a very hot week and to not have a functioning pool was awful. I told Shirley I would have never spent $1,600 to only have beach access. Since the unit was already paid in full, Ward Realty could have cared less. They are all about the $$. Shirley sent an email about 30 minutes AFTER I called citing the part in the contract (line #27) that they would not compensate any $$ on the pool which is just considered an amenity. The wi-fi password we were given in all their documents was not correct. Maintenance had to come Sunday and give us the correct password. The unit appeared clean and in order upon arrival but then my daughter said fake finger nails fell from the shower basket when she was in the shower (several, not just one--GROSS). That made me question how well the unit was even cleaned considering we were told to not expect a text message until 4-5:30 to check in but we received a message shortly after noon. Obviously, the cleaners rushed. I called Ward on Monday to see if we could get an additional key fob because it was super inconvenient when only some of my family wanted to head back to the townhome since the gate to leave the beach was LOCKED and you need the fob to exit. One of us had to unlock the gate with the fob and hold the gate open while another member would run back and hand the key fob to another member that wanted to stay longer on the beach, horrible design. Ward again was not helpful and said they only had one fob to give us. I received endless text messages during the week about procedures, garbage day, and check out but they could not bother to call me before my arrival regarding the pool being closed??? I would give you negative stars if I could.

My family has been renting with Ward Realty over 30 years. They have always been great to work with and we will continue to rent from them.

This was our first experience renting a vacation property via Ward Realty and our experience has been nothing less than top shelf! Their staff is 100% committed to customer service. We have requested maintenance assistance twice and both times a very capable and personable technician responded and resolved the issue. We will definitely use Ward Realty again without hesitation!
