Folly's Best Rentals

Overall our dealings with Folly's Best Rentals was a positive experience however we were surprised by a phone call we received a few hours after we checked out of the property that we were being assessed a $200 additional cleaning fee on top of the $215 cleaning fee and $350 non-refundable pet fee. We were very careful and cleaned the apartment every day to stay on top of the dog hair. We were sent pictures of the "excessive" dog hair that the housekeeping staff made claims about and it was actually pictures of dog hair that had clearly been swept into piles. We later learned that this was a "request" not an assessed or required fee. The staff said that they are "required to ask" for the additional housekeeping costs but that we did not have to pay the $200. I appreciate the fact that they did not press the issue since it was completely unwarranted but I think future renters should be aware of this policy because it seems like the property managers' cleaning crew is trying to scam people with these unsubstantiated and unwarranted fees. I will say that when I voiced my issue with what I thought was a required fee the office manager immediately explained that it was not required and apologized. I also thought it was a weird coincidence that the additional $200 for cleaning was almost the exact amount of the optional "damage protection fee" that we opted out of.

Four girl friends and I took a last minute trip to Folly for a long weekend, and we stayed in Folly's Best house, "It's Time to Boogie Down." Though we paid a little more than the original budget we set for ourselves (last minute booking will do that to you), we are so happy we spent a little more to get Boogie Down for the two nights! It was a wonderful stay. We enjoyed the ease of access to the beach, the manageable walk to stores/restaurants, and the relaxation the porch of the house offered. We had no issues while booking, using the house or checking out. We will likely return.

Any issues or problems were taken care of immediately. Beach access was almost directly across the street. Great location, great beach, and Folly?s Best is a great company to work with.

Some girl friends and I stayed at this condo for a bachelorette weekend. The condo was beautifully decorated and in a great location. We loved the balcony, especially the couch swing. We also loved that the condo was pet friendly, and we were able to bring our two, well-behaved dogs. Checking in and out was easy, and having a door code instead of a traditional key was great. I will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone that wants to stay on the beach in Folly.

Absolutely love staying with Folly's Best. Their customer service is top notch. They always have the top pick of the rentals in my opinion. Looking forward to our 7th stay this New Years.
